Why a Heat Gun Leaves One Side Loose
A heat gun shrinks the side facing it first, which is why hand-shrunk tube is tight on top and loose underneath, and the harness fails a visual check. The HP100 heats from both sides with an infrared ring, and the upper heating surface retracts so you can load the wire without fighting the head.
Temperature, shrink time and cooling time are all set on the touch screen, and the heating zone can be changed with a baffle so heat stays on the tube and away from nearby non-heat-resistant parts. A built-in cooling system brings the part down after shrinking, and dozens of recipes can be stored.

Can it handle a long harness?
The heating chamber is 120 mm wide, so you shrink one section at a time by positioning the wire. For continuous long runs, the conveyor-type ovens in the same category are the better fit.
Will it damage the connector next to the tube?
The baffle limits the heat zone. For very heat-sensitive connectors, send a sample and we confirm the baffle size.
Does it need compressed air?
Yes, 0.5–0.6 MPa, used for the retracting head and cooling.
